The view from our campsite on the shore of Muchalaht Lake, a Recreation Site just north of Gold River, B.C.
This is a great campsite —with some lakeside sites, especially if your next destination takes you up Island through Wos on Highway 19 as you just continue on the mainline you took from Gold River for about 90 minutes.
“The Muchalat Lake Recreation site is located on the east side of Muchalat Lake, approx. 8 miles northwest of Gold River, via the Gold River Mainline logging road. It is a large open campground offering 40 sites with tables, toilets, a boat launch, dock and beach with swimming area.” – Gold River Chamber of Commerce
