Very early one stunning September morning while camping at Loveland Bay I was exploring with the 100-400mm lens mounted and was able to quietly capture a special moment from the far side of the bay.
The couple did not see me or hear the shutter and that felt a bit odd, so later I wandered over with the camera body to explain I was a photographer, show them the shot on the camera’s rear screen, and asked if I could send them a full resolution digital image for printing when they got home. They were delighted and later I got a charming thank-you note.
