Just some whale tails in a garden alongside the Lochside Trail in Saanich.
I’ve ridden by many times, but on this trip the quality of light and the garden colours suggested a quick photo.
Initially, I took a photo from the edge of the trail but deleted it when I checked the image in the camera’s viewfinder. There were some distracting background elements.
Just stepping off the trail and down into the ditch made the difference…the pod of iron Orcas were now the visual ‘heroes’, swimming through the plants.
