An irrigation sprinkler with early morning light made more interesting by not choosing a shutter speed fast enough to ‘freeze’ every droplet.
As they shoot out of the sprinkler they appear instead as ‘elongated streaks’, even at a shutter speed of 1/400th of a second.
Then they slow down, and appear as individual drops as they fall to the grass.
