Sunset at Southey Point (actually “Arbutus Road Beach Access”…but known as Southey Point by the locals…and just to make it interesting, Southey Point is on the northern end of Saltspring Island). Got that?
The Chamber of Commerce used this image many times. They captioned it “A Lone Woman enjoys a Salt Spring Sunset”.
Well, one evening NJC, now known as “the Lone Woman” wanted to ride her bike from our house to the beach at the end of Southey Point Road. I would make coffee and would take the truck to meet her there. I just made it in time to see the sun set and grab this quick photo.
We still think that the whole ‘Lone Woman’ thing was hilarious.
