Sointula, “Place of Harmony” is a small town on Malcolm Island. It’s linked to Port McNeill on Vancouver Island, and Alert Bay on Cormorant Island by BC ferries.
The building above is on the main drag just steps from the ferry dock. The image above clearly shows the shingle wizardry of some ‘Sontulan’.

We were surprised to see our old friend, the Bowen Queen on this run.
We travelled in the silver-grey truck with the Four Wheel Camper (pop-up camper) along with just eight other vehicles.
