I rode by this small school in Saanich, then turned back to explore the interesting playground (empty during the summer break). The school is on a large property, well protected from the road. While the building’s siding appears to be wood, it is actually made of metal. And there is a substantial number of solar panels on the roof.
When photographing a building it is important to hold the camera/phone level and—if possible—at the horizontal middle of the building. (e.g if the building is 10 feet tall, then hold the camera 5 feet off the ground) This really helps keeps the image natural looking and distortion free.
I decided to concentrate on the interesting playground equipment. A camera phone was used to create these images.
