Reflection

This morning I noticed a long puddle along the edge of a shopping center roadway. I held the phone almost on the road surface just outside the puddle. And tilted the phone until things got straighter, and in general was happy with this quick reflection photo.

All the while, a crow (raven?) was keenly observing my antics.

I’m just posting this image today because it seemed so easy to walk by without looking. It’s not normally a very interesting place to walk.

But I’m happy I noticed the reflection. Technology advances make so easy to stop for a few seconds and grab a phone photo.

And I believe, each time you do stop, it sharpens your ability to see potential images around you.

Minutes later, just down the road at a government office, contrasty sidelight was highlighting this interesting wall graphic, and really made it pop.

The unedited, (but cropped) iPhone 14 image above is showing every ‘flaw’ on the wall.

automatic technical info for this image:
ISO 80, 1/3850 sec, f/1.8 6.9mm lens

And below I’ve included an image taken a little farther back from the building, 24 hours later. The light was very flat and the sky was overcast. The phone came up with this image:
