Qualicum

A few images from Qualicum Beach, on Vancouver Island this morning. This crystal clear water with a million stones caught my eye (smooth stones, though some near the tide line were ‘barnacled’) on another blue-sky morning in coastal BC.

Note: a reminder that some posts (like this one) show a small version of the images. ‘Mousing over’ the image and clicking on the image will cause the website to show a larger version of the image.

Above: this image illustrates the size and gradual slope of the beach, and the calm mid-morning ocean.

Above: this image, taken from Highway 19A adds the high tide line, two people in the water, and a boat farther out.

Above: a snippet of downtown in Qualicum Beach.

A mural on the side of a downtown Qualicum Beach building. Shooting into the sun on this image, but I believe the colours are what the eyes saw.
