Walking along the forest trail behind our house yesterday morning I followed a deer trail up to a small knoll. Through the trees and in the distance, I saw an old, broken topped fir.
The 400mm lens did not get me nearly close enough (an 800mm might or a 1000mm lens probably would), but zooming in on the image (on the camera screen), I saw what seemed to be a Great Horned Owl…
Later, on the computer, I zoomed further into the image and there was also an owlet! At this point the cropped image is starting to break up a bit and is loosing definition on the website.
