Look Up

When walking with a camera (or phone camera) it’s a good habit to looking around as you walk. I was reminded of this yesterday near a construction site.

I’m pretty sure that I walked by this overhead scene previously, partly because I was interested in the work site below. I “saw the image” this time, only because I was enjoying the clear blue spring sky.

Later yesterday evening, while working at the kitchen sink, I noticed two jet trails in the sky. I grabbed my phone and quickly walked up the road until I was able to frame an image without visual distractions.

Technical: Over many years I seem to have become an automatic observer of my surroundings—noticing more and always looking for what (I feel) would make an interesting image.
