A file photo from 2018 (Salt Spring Island) backing the truck and trailer to our four cord woodshed. The wood came from a neighbour’s property where, during a record wind storm, many live Fir trees toppled to the forest floor. The tall Firs had very few knots, so splitting by hand was not hard.
The truck was modified by Niko Laing at Island Spring in Ladysmith for off-road use, (lift, suspension, off-road front bumper, taller tires, and winch) and to carry a Four Wheel Camper. Getting through the forest to the fallen trees was not a problem.
