One day, long ago, I got a call from Saltspring Air asking if I wanted to fly up to the glaciers the next day. I said sure. They said bring camera gear.
The de Havilland Beaver flying was most exciting. It turns out—not surprisingly—that the photography was for a promotion to begin taking folks into the mountains, up to a waterfall, to the glaciers, have lunch on the shore of a mountain lake, and then fly back to Salt Spring Island.
