Ganges Harbour, Salt Spring Island.
Way back, long, long ago, before the advent of drones and smartphones we used to photograph from floatplanes, like the de Havilland Beaver. Clients were billed in 10 minute increments based on the airline’s $1800 per hour rate.
Back then we thought images like this were high resolution…
Flying at 3000 ft with the back seats removed, and the 24 inch diameter photography plate cover (in the floor!) removed, it was both very windy and most ‘exciting’.
