Early morning fog at Fernwood Pier. Sometimes to get something special in a photograph, you have to plan well ahead and have your gear ready to go.
This image was taken with a 17mm tilt/shift lens (f/11, 0.6 sec, ISO 100). So everything in the image is in focus. This is my main architectural lens, one I always use for building interiors. In this case it happened to be on the camera. It would allow for an excellent depth of focus along the pier.
A Bufflehead duck surfaces from a hunting dive at the pier.
A peaceful morning in Trincomali Channel. It’s a great time to be out with a camera; it seems there is always something special about spots like this…at times like this.
