A pre-sunrise view—looking south towards Active Pass—from Fernwood Pier on the northern end of Saltspring Island. The smooth ocean water of Trincomali Channel creates a lovely reflection of the sky. And the clear air provides crisp, saturated colours.
This is a ‘go-to’ spot for me, particularly early in the morning when the solitude is inspiring.
