This is thought to be a ‘Giant White Fawn Lily’. Apparently our weather this spring is just right for this plant because, wow there are a ton of them along the forest trail behind our Saanich home.
Technical: Canon EOS R5 , ISO 2500, 1/250 sec, f/11, 100-400mm zoom lens at 400 mm
(This image was shot handheld, during a calm morning using a long lens from a medium distance with a fairly fast shutter speed (1/250 sec) which eliminated shake, and an aperture setting of f/11 which blurred the background to let the Lily become the ‘hero’. The Lily was partially lit which made it stand out from the shady background)
