I’m told this is a ‘Garden Dahlia’. I was originally attracted by the colour of the flower and the soft, colourful background. I like the large, out-of-focus area, particularly the purple areas.
And I’m not disturbed by the lack of focus near the bottom of the flower as I believe it leads the viewer into the lovely background.(simply changing the f-stop before shooting from f/8 to f/11 or f/16 would have brought the bottom of the flower into focus as well… this is the kind of thing you learn by taking and reviewing lots of images)
