This Gulf Islands photo was taken many years ago from Salt Spring Island. I was doing some exploring on the ‘South End’ of the island (on public land) and came across this secret spot on a fabulous summer day.
The pop-up camper normally lived on the modified Toyota Tacoma from Spring to Fall. Built on a flexible aluminum frame and made for both on and off road travel, the camper had standing headroom, a queen size bed, lots of windows, a furnace and a modest kitchen area.
Technical: Canon EOS-1D X and 70-200 lens (142mm selected) at f/16 for 1/100 sec, on tripod
