We had the good fortune to be invited by old friends and business partners for a weekend on Salt Spring Island this summer. During the visit, I had an unexpected two hours of downtime and decided to visit a couple of beaches at zero tide on the North End of the island.
My camera that day was a very capable late model phone which handled virtually all the exposure calculations and image editing on its own. I needed only to decide what to photograph.
