Ayla is a scissors wizzard saving the planet with one redesign after another. Ayla would collect little used clothing and redesign it with a blur of scissors. Amazing to watch!
This was a creative, fun shoot with her years ago on Salt Spring Island. She was looking for images for her first website and we decided on the nearby Creekside Rainforest as a location. We carried a few armfuls of props to an excellent spot—Ayla grabbed her scissors and material started to fly. I had a hard time keeping up with her.
And, on the way back along the trail, a shaft of light came through the trees. I asked her if she wanted a portrait for her website. We spent a few minutes shooting and came up with several ‘keepers’.
A super quick and interesting photoshoot in a superb spot.
