Young baseball pitcher delivers a strike. But where was the photographer?
This image captures the decisive moment as the hardball leaves pitchers’ right hand. So that’s all good. But this was one of my very earliest sports images shot on Salt Spring Island, before I had fast cameras and lenses. Still it has strong composition, pitcher’s expression, and ball release timing…on a background that does not compete for attention.
