During this year’s rainy December days I do more glancing out the family room windows than I do actually going outside. One of the things I finally noticed was how the colours on our four year old cedar fence change during a significant downpour. The knots and grain are more noticeable, the slight gaps between boards tighten up and of course the colours are more intense. What we normally see as a ‘light brown’ fence is temporarily transformed.
