A cold and windy evening on a Saanich shoreline. My goal was to show this scene with motion blur.
Info:
1. setting a digital camera’s sensitivity (called ‘ISO‘) to the lowest setting for the least image noise (ISO 100 on this camera)
2. the lens aperture to it’s deepest setting (f/16 on this lens) for the largest depth of focus
3. causes the camera to calculate the exposure time (6 seconds in this example)
So it’s clear that on this windy day that a tripod was necessary.
note: like most photographers, after starting with an inexpensive tripod or two (3?) before purchasing one that does everything well and lasts. My forever tripod which will never wear out is an ultra light, carbon fibre, Really Right Stuff TFC-24L Mk2 with RRS BH-55 BALL HEAD
