A spectacular sky looking west up Tumbo Channel from the Saturna Heritage Centre area. One of the great things about a place like East Point is that it’s rare that you’ll see a crowd. I was joined that evening by no people, just a handful of deer.

While waiting for the sunset sky to the west, I turned 180 degrees to look at the the view eastward: the sky and the ocean were becoming shades of blue. I experimented with panning the (tripod-mounted) camera to create the soft, abstract image above.
