Pre-sunrise in the Southern Gulf Islands during late July: an Arbutus tree leans over the ocean at Beddis Beach on Salt Spring Island.
Ten metres down the beach, this longer exposure (30 seconds) blurs the water surface while keeping pebble beach and distant mountains sharp. Star trails begin to show.
